Hello & welcome! My name is Erin Durkin and I am proud to be the 2nd grade teacher at Good Shepherd Catholic Regional School. I grew up in the Mt. Airy section of Philadelphia and attended 12 years of Catholic School. My elementary school years are full of fond memories and will always hold a special place in my heart.
I am a graduate of Temple University with an undergraduate degree in History and Arcadia University with a Master's Degree in Education with an elementary concentration. I returned to teaching after a 12-year hiatus and taught as a substitute for 4 years before joining GSC in 2019. I love teaching 2nd Grade!!!
I live in Oreland with my husband Sean and our children Teagan (20), Sean (18), & Maeve (15). My older daughter is a sophomore at Franklin and Marshall College. We have a cat and a dog! I enjoy playing games with my family, watching classic movies, and taking trips to Cape Cod, MA. I am a member of Holy Martyrs Parish where I was a catechist in their PREP PROGRAm for 12 years.
